During my walkabout today, I was taken aback by an unexpected sight—a leaf that unmistakably bore the hues of autumn. What surprised me even more was its intricate design, etched upon the surface. Remarkably, this leaf exhibited vivid, rich colors and showed little sign of decomposition, quite unusual for mid-April. It almost felt as though someone had carefully preserved it and then placed it on the grassy parking strip, ensuring my discovery.
While I cannot be certain, my intuition leans toward this being a Magnolia leaf. Curiously, I couldn’t recall seeing any Magnolia trees in the immediate vicinity. Perhaps nature delights in leaving us with mysteries to unravel. 🍂🌿📸  Enjoy!
